We have been notified by Allflex that production is further delayed. Standard items (such as applicators, blank and pre-numbered tags, and EID readers) are shipping in about 5 weeks. Custom tags are expected to be 2-3 months.
We are disappointed about the news as much as you are. Allflex is the leader in animal identification and has a solid history and experience. We are a distributor (as Allflex does not sell directly to customers) so we have no control over timeframes, status updates, access to the warehouse, etc. This has been a tough time on our rancher-customer service team as well, as we understand the importance for you to receive your order in a timely manner and are saddened by the continued extending of production times.
These are unprecedented times with material shortage issues and global transportation issues which have now been compounded by the system transition. Be assured that we are working hard to provide you with current information which is extremely limited at this time. At this point, we only receive confirmation that orders have been received. Allflex is currently not able to provide any further information, such as ETAs/shipment date, tracking numbers, status updates, material inventory levels, etc.
With further delayed production timeframes, we realize that some may need to cancel their order. ALL Allflex custom tags in the U.S. are printed at the same Allflex facility. By canceling your order and then reordering with another distributor, you are stepping out of your current place in the queue and starting over.
It's important to us that we be open and straightforward with customers. We are sending emails when we have updated information as well as updating the Allflex Production Timeframes page. This page is linked at the top of CattleTags.com and on all product pages on our website as well as other key pages.
While this is not the good news we want to share, it's the most current update we have received at this time.
